Me on my snowboard

This April, I flew off to France to complete a heli drop and snowboard down a glacier, avoiding crevasses. And I made it safely all the way to the bottom!

My Message

As you may have noticed I have now transferred my fundraising from Justgiving. ActionAid have launched a new fundraising website allowing supporter's to upload photos, blogs and accept online payments without any third party costs.

What made this challenge more adventurous?

For starters when I came up with this particular idea to generate funds for ActionAid I did not know how to snowboard! In addition to being a complete novice to the slopes, I began to lose my eyesight in my early teens due to a degenerative eye condition. I only have 4% vision left at the moment.

Why did I set myself such a challenge?

All this in aid of the children who underwent one of the worlds worst natural disasters to date.

The Asian earthquake of 2005 took the lives of 80,000 people together with destroying important institutions such as schools. The children who survived may feel they have lost everything including a hope for the future.

We can not give them back their family, however we can give them a better future through opening the doors of education. Action Aid's child friendly schools which will provide the children an environment in which they can learn and in which they can receive the emotional support to assist them with their trauma.

With your support I hope to commission 10 Child Friendly schools, each costing £1,400. Thus the total sponsorship I need to raise for these 10 schools is £14,000. Please support me in my bid to reach this target, sponsor me!
