I woke up this morning feeling like poo

16 Jan 2008

I must have eaten something bad yesterday - maybe the king prawn sandwich.  Anyway I feel like poo.  This afternoon I need to do a six mile run - as it is 22 miles total this week.  I will be doing mile repeats at race pace so lets hope the panadol do their job.

I saw a client yesterday at the East Midlands Hilton and all those hours in the car do my back in.  What a load of moaning - still such are the problems of doing what we are doing.  On or two of the Actionaid marathon team have been kind enough to answer my emails -  which is great because you don't think you are struggling alone.  The reality is a crazy mix of training and injuries - far away from what the books say.

Anyway - for anyone reading this read Jeff Galloway because he is the best in my view for helping you through - especially for really old blokes like me.

I did 6 miles in the Galloway way this evening - mile repeats at 10 min per mile rate with 5 mins walk between miles.  This was quite easy except I had a lot of pain and soreness in my bottom. From where has this pain come?  I have two theories and one is too much work on the stepper and the other is bashed buttocks from my fall out of bed!  I hope a days rest will do the business.
