"I'm doing it for ActionAid..."
This year's ActionAid Team are hoping to beat £65,600 which was raised by our 2008 team.
2008 saw ActionAid support four youngsters who ran the the mini-marathon and five lads who set a Guinness World Record as the fastest chained group to complete the marathon!

I am excited about running my fifth London Marathon for the wonderful charity ActionAid at the magic age ( for a Beatles fan) of 64.
My Message
In 2009 God willing I will be running for ActionAid in the London Marathon - the greatest race on earth! Already I am in training. I am doing it because it is great at the age of 63 (as I am) to be reaching out to challenge myself again and then bring a little hope to the families who suffer so greatly in third world countries.
I also believe in Dylan Thomas's great exhortation - to "rage against the passing of the light". This is my way of doing just that. The hell with old age.
Each £26 donated by you my brilliant friends and family will with doubt save a life.
The event is on April 26 and I am looking for 12 degrees C and a little overcast with a very light drizzle - mmm.
