I have been reading the Kenyan blog and am really shocked by the suffering of the people.  It makes my minor aches and pains seem a bit pathetic.  Never mind, if the Action Marathon team does as well as last year we will beat up our bodies around 26 miles and raise 55 thousand  and that would be  brilliant.It does take courage to do this - especially those who have never done it before.

OK people, I am up to 20 miles per week now and a long run of 17 miles.   Today I did three short hills of about 150 m. each on my treadmill with 5 mins recovery walk after each.  Also a total of 1.5 mile run in a total distance of 4.1 miles including walking.

I do almost all my work indoors on the treadmill.  This knocked out about 500 cals and my aim is still to get down to 63 kg (currently about 65kg.).  This is really tough and will result in me running at about 10kg less than my first marathon in 2005.

I still have a very sore bottom.  I am hoping this is just the bruising caused by my fall and will go.

I have written to a local school  to offer a talk on what I am doing in return for sponsorship.  Lets see what happens.
