About me
I have now reached the ripe old age of 50, I'm married and live in Cumbria. I have worked most of my life as a professional archaeologist but I am now employed by Cumbria County Council as their Environmental Planning Manager. I have a strong commitment to education, environmental conservation and sustainable development both here in the UK and abroad. For my 50th birthday I decided to embark on a sponsored challenge to undertake a walk in the Pyrenees and along the way to visit sites associated with the Cathars, mainly castles. I hope to raise my target figure of £4000 for Actionaid through undertaking this challenge.
My blog
Pyrenees Mountain Walk
The blog is about my walk in the Pyrenees. Each day I will walking a section and visit sites associated with the Cathars. I am starting at Lastours to the north of Carcasonne and finishing at Montsegur 14 days later.
