The Thomsons Trekkathon

Part of UK midsummer challenge 2008

Congratulations to our 33 intrepid walkers who took part in our first ever Midsummer Challenge - trekking from sunrise to sunset in the beautiful hills of the Lake District. Everyone worked really hard and there was a great team spirit and lots of support, smiles and laughs throughout (even with a 3am start!). The group are looking on target to raise a £10,000 in sponsorship to fund our priority work around the world helping to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of millions of the people living in poverty.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and to everyone who sponsored and supported the team too!

My Message

Thankyou for visiting our fundraising page.

Sue and Simon are joining a dedicated team of ActionAid supporters this summer in a fundraising challenge from sunrise to sunset across England's largest national park- the Lake District.

We start our adventure at the god earthly hour of 3am and finish (hopefully) just before last orders.

Sue's sister Helen has worked for ActionAid for 4 years and has visited places such as Nepal and Mozambique and has seen first hand the difference that this charity can make to the everyday lives of the people who live there.

If you or your company would like to support us in our challenge we would be extremely appreciative. Our target is a minimum of £600 by June 6th so don't delay and give today (PLEASE!) Sue and Simon x
