Events for 2012

Hello, York ActionAid Group are hosting a number of interesting events this year, to raise funds for two priority projects: Education for Nomadic Children in Kenya and Helping vulnerable girls off the street in Bangladesh.

Our first event, on Saturday March 24th,  a French Evening, where we'll have a French quiz, French wine, French music, good food and a silent auction.

September 18th is the date of our 2012 St Crux day - St Crux is a church in York, which is used 5 days a week by different charities.  We'll be providing light lunches, drinks and lots of delicious homemade cakes, all at reasonable prices.  There'll also be book and bric-a-brac stalls.  Do come and have lunch with us if you're in York that day - make yourself know to the team!

On October 19th we're planning a music and pictures evening with Allan Green (back by popular demand!) at Haxby Methodist Church Hall.  

York ActionAid Group street collections this year, are on June 16th & 17th at Deans Garden centre the date for the York city centre collection is yet to be conirmed - do come and say, 'hello' and off load those heavy coins into our collecting boxes!

And, of course, we'll be Carol singing in December - more details nearer the time!
