Congratulations to our 33 intrepid walkers who took part in our first ever Midsummer Challenge - trekking from sunrise to sunset in the beautiful hills of the Lake District. Everyone worked really hard and there was a great team spirit and lots of support, smiles and laughs throughout (even with a 3am start!). The group are looking on target to raise a £10,000 in sponsorship to fund our priority work around the world helping to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of millions of the people living in poverty.
A big thank you to everyone who took part and to everyone who sponsored and supported the team too!

Starting at sunrise (that's the crazy time of 3.30am) on the longest day of the year, we plan to walk though hills and valleys of the Lake District, until the sunsets and we can walk to more!
My Message
After sitting at my desk all day asking people to give ActionAid some money, I thought I would take the plunge and stand up (walk in fact) and still ask people for money!
Although the walk is the key challenge for most, many of you will know that the main challenge for me will be getting up at 3.30am - that's bed time surely!
If you don't know by now, ActionAid is a fantastic charity, working together with millions of people around the world to access their basic rights. I am proud to work for this organisation and to ask all of my friends, family and acquaintancies to help ActionAid to continue making a difference to the lives of poor people all around the world.
