I'm Head of The Fundraising Events Team at ActionAid am responsible for thousands of supporters who take part in all sorts of events that raise millions of pounds to support our work.

They really are amazing people who know that ending poverty isn’t someone else’s job, it’s yours and mine. By working with the world’s poorest people, we can all do something to change their lives for the better, for good. We can end poverty. But only if we work together.

Thanks for visiting MyActionAid, we really hope you find it easy to use and a great way to fundraise online. Don’t forget you can fill the page with stories and pictures about you and your event, send a link out to all your friends and family, and then watch as the money rolls in. MyActionAid allows you to set up a personal online fundraising page, collect and monitor all your donations and invite others to donate your event, discuss and share your thoughts, experiences and photos and access the most up-to-date resources and fundraising support from ActionAid.

By using MyActionAid you will also be saving us money by ensuring ActionAid does not have to pay any unnecessary commission payments or credit card charges. ActionAid will also automatically reclaim tax on every donation from a UK taxpayer ensuring more money goes towards helping us tackle the causes of poverty around the world.

This is picture on the left is my favourite picture - taken in Ethiopia. When I first tried the children ran away because they thought the camera flash was lightening from a nearby storm. When I gave THEM the camera they became more confident and this picture is the result.

I've seen ActionAid's work in India for myself. What strikes you more than anything else is the inspiring people you meet.

That's why I'm delighted to be fundraising for ActionAid.

Hello, I'm Yvonne, I'm a volunteer tutor in adult literacy, a gardener and great reader of books. Apart from my monthly d/d this is my first attempt at raising money for Actionaid. I'm keeping it small and unambitious - a coffee morning at home from 11am - 5pm...
