Im a 42 year old mother of two gorgeous girls, and I work full time as a Mental Health Nurse in Primary Care. I fancied a bit of a challenge and to be able to combine this fantastic trip with raising money for an amazing charity such as Actionaid is an opportunity I couldnt miss. Those of you who know me know what an unfit, lazy lump I am therefore the amusement at the thought of me treking through the Indian Himalaya's should cause you to dig deep if nothing else! So fundraising ahoy (not to mention getting fit) and please give whatever you can, it can all make a real difference. Thank you so much!!!!

Hi, for all of those of you out there who know me and are not too surprised by deciding to take this fantastic opportunity to not only help action aid but to see the wonderful countryside, villages, mountains, temples of India in on a trek in November. Yes I am not the most energictic person and yes I will be staying in a tent something I haven't come close to for over 25 years since leaving the girl guides! Will I cope I am sure I will with your support, plasters and a few glasses of red wine! I need to raise £3,000 so every penny counts! Please click on right to donate.

Hello my name is Angie and i live in Exeter in Devon, i have always wanted to do this trek but until now my life path had not been in the right position, i am happy to say that this has now changed, enabling me to sign up and fulfil a dream of mine. I am 46, i have two children and two step children. All are living away from home now. I went to university late and qualified to be a social worker in 2001, i am now a practice manager working with children with special needs. My main hobby is photograpy, i enjoy creating abstract pictures, it is another dream of mine to be able to make a living from my art and follow a more creative path in the future. I look forward to meeting everyone who has signed up for the India trek 2008, and am very excited about the whole event.
