First Hand Experiences Vietnam 2009

Congratulations to our Vietnam trekkers who returned triumphant!  The group trekked through rural Vietnam, staying with local families en route.  We trekked through rice paddies and learned about life for the rural Vietnamese wearing our traditional hats and sampling local food.  We visited ActionAid's work to see how ActionAid Vietnam supports education, community building and livelihoods.  Finally we enjoyed traditional song and dance and we responded with our cultural offering of the Grand Old Duke of York and Oh Flower of Scotland!  Laughter was in abundance throughout the week and all agreed it was a wonderful and memorable experience.  The group have raised over £16,000 for our work so far which we hope will raise even more!
