Meet the team

Justin

24 years old, the youngest of the team. Enjoy's helping other whenever possible, team player who enjoys the out doors. Has helped out in other charity events and will continue doing so as much as possible.


Gary

Gary, also know as Gaz by his mates. Ever since the Morocco challenge was mentioned it seemed to him like a good idea to take part. Gaz has never been involved with charitable organisations and has not gone trekking since a young lad whilst in the Air cadets, “It’s always good to try something new” He feels this journey will be rewarding as well as a challenging!!

Mark Chichon

Mark is 36 years old and works for Gibtelecom. He is also an Army reservist in his spare time. He enjoys the challenge of all outdoor activities/ sports especially Ski-ing and trecking. He recently trekked up Jebel (mount)Toubkal in the high Atlas mountains.

Leslie Wahnon

Leslie works in the Engineering Department and is responsible for the design and maintenance of the fixed network infrastructure. He also served in the T.A. for 24 years and after leaving the T.A. in 2004 he has kept himself busy with a couple of personal projects. This is the first time he will be doing something for charity and is really looking forward to the challenge.

Jenny

Jenny works in the Human Resources Section. She is a single parent with 2 sons. Enjoys jogging, going to the gym and spinning classes.
She joined the Action Aid Challenge because it has given her the motivation to continue training in order to achieve this goal. She is looking forward to this wonderful event as she feels very proud to be able to help those less fortunate.

Eric

Eric likes all types of extreme sports, body surfing, canoeing, motorcycling, trekking, horse riding, snowboarding etc. Having visited a number of mountain ranges before, Eric jumped at the occasion of visiting another mountain range and at the same time support a worthy course.

Charlie Bear

Charlie works in the Network Operational Centre . A firm lover of sports in general and a believer in charity work of which has done work and helped before through sport . This will posses another challenge for him trying to emulate his mother’s footsteps (she took on the Inca trail also for Action Aid). He is eagerly anticipating first hand interactions with those less fortunate.
