I have worked at ActionAid for 7 years and am now Head of the Fundraising Events Team. I have seen many exciting developments for the department, have been lucky enough to see the amazing things ActionAid achieves in the countries we work in and have also done fundraising - most recently for the Great South Run.

Had a fantastic experience doing the run, first time I've run further than for a bus and was bowled over by the generosity of friends and family, colleagues and ActionAid supporters. My largest donations came from supporters, which says a lot about their incredible commitment and enthusiasm for our work.

I have also gone on a few overseas treks as the Charity Rep, most recently to Peru - see the photo gallery, and think they are an amazing way for supporters to see our work, but also for staff to really get to know supporters, what they think of us and our work. Fantastic experience!

I'm very lucky to work for a cause I passionately believe in, with colleagues who are so committed and enthusiastic about what they do.
