WiSH have been part of ActionAid's Bollocks to Poverty On Tour throughout 2007 and will continue in 2008. Initially raising awareness about the scandal of global poverty and plastering the WiSH faithful with badges, our December event 'WiSH Upon a Star' went on to raise over £1400 through donations and the sale of the fabulous WiSHgirl Calendars. At every WiSH night in 2008, £1 from every ticket will be going straight to ActionAid for a very special project in South Africa supporting women’s rights organizations to campaign together for all women to be guaranteed a healthy, happy and dignified life in the face of HIV and AIDS.

On the first Saturday of the month, Gramaphone in Shoreditch hosts the ultraniche and ubercool party. Upstairs, Sean Hewson, Lacoop and guest DJ Choccy get your juices flowing with their newfangled indie, rakish disco and a sprinkling of electric dreams and downstairs, revel in minimal tech and crazy techno from Kath Harding and Kate Nunn, with deviant illuminations from VJ Hobbyboy.
