Adam and Gav's Bollocks Bike Ride

Part of Bollocks to Poverty

btp.jpg

The Bollocks to Poverty tour is a whole load of events happening around the UK to fight global poverty with ActionAid. They are all organised by lovely people like you, so join in and put your town on the Bollocks to Poverty map.

Your event can be anything: gig, club night, art exhibition, fashion show, pub quiz, football tournament, film screening or even a house party. And you choose whether to raise awareness or money or both. What’s important is that you get some people together and show your collective love for Bollocks to Poverty in your own special way.

STOP PRESS:  IF WE EXCEED OUR FUNDRAISING TARGET WE'LL HAVE A 'BOLLOCKS TO POVERY'  TATTOO in the most popular place suggested on the facebook group/myactionaid blog.. Be nice lol

As the credit crunch kicks in you  may find your supermarket bill increasing.. At least in the UK we have the option to simply switch supermarkets rather than go with out.  Many people around the world dont have that choice, and were already in a critical situation before the global downturn.  Thats without starting on the women denied equal rights, children denied education, and people not given access to clean water, let alone basic health care and vaccinations.

All of these things CAN change, and ActionAid are an amazing organisation who are instrumental in facilitating that change.  This is our small part towards helping them to make that happen.  By helping us to do that by joining our facebook group or donating you can become part of the solution, and literally save lives!

Julian Morison 22/07/2009  £100.00 Awesome achievement guys, not only for the awareness and funds you’ve raised for a worthwhile charity, but also for your own personal achievements. The pants idea and relying on goodwill was a great twist and one which made you stand out from the crowd of cyclists and walkers who do LE to JOG. Not only have you guys done something amazing, but it just goes to show that the generosity of strangers is still alive and well and that we should never become too jaded and cynical. A big hand to the two guys in the seats and to all who fed, clothed and accommodated them…
