Calling all sponsors!
Part of First Hand Experiences Cambodia 2008
Despite being such a small group the team have achieved a huge amount, raising over £3100 in sponsorship each for ActionAid’s priority fund and digging foundations, lifting bricks and mixing cement to make real and lasting difference.
The team was fantastic and worked really hard on site putting their arm muscles to the test! Throughout the week there was a great sense of camaraderie and everyone got to know each other and the locals they were working with really well, learning from each other and making new friends.
"The trip has been a wonderful experience from start to finish and I have taken away more than I came with. I now have a deeper understanding of the world around me and how much people need each other." Elaine Ashmore
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part and a big thank you to all those who have sponsored and supported you. Find out about next year's builds in South Africa and Nepal at www.actionaid.org.uk/experiences
My Message
We have so much to be thankful for that we take for granted and these people realy need our help. I know how hard it is for us all to put our hands in our pockets when there are so many other charities asking for our money, but I have seen first hand that the work Action Aid is doing in Cambodia is fantastic.
Please take a moment to have a look at the link on this page to the Cambodia Community Challenge 2008 to see the brilliant work that we will be up to, and also to check up on how we did last year!
You can sponsor me through the links below which are fast and secure, and you can also Gift Aid your donation making it 25% more valuable to ActionAid at no extra cost!
I'm also seeking corporate sponsorship and am happy to feature in company advertising in return for sponsorship - please contact me if you can help.
Thank you!!
