Swimming the English Channel - 29th June 2009
Part of Lera Town Fund
With clean water available locally, the people of Lera have identified education as the next priority. Lera Town Fund will continue to transform lives by providing classrooms and educational materials for the children and families.
Lack of schools and poor facilities have led to low enrolment - especially of girls. There are currently several hundred children hoping to complete secondary education at a school with only two classroom blocks.
Our aim is to expand Kilto high school to provide access to secondary education for 90% of children in the area - including a 90% enrolment for girls.

My Message
Support me and raise funds for this very worthy cause.
The English Channel is 22miles with strong currents and tides. Weather condition normally count against swimmers. It is said that more people have reached the summit of Everest than have swum the English Channel. I am hoping to achieve a crossing in 15 hours or less.
Come on show me how much you care!
