In Nov 09, I'll be competing in the British Indoor Rowing Championships at the NIA in Birmingham
My Message
In Nov 09, I'll be rowing 2000m in the BIR Championships for Mission Malawi. Rowing may not be a marathon or a mountain climb but I've been training 4/5 times a week since March as I plan to smash my initial time of 7.35!
I was a founding member of Mission Malawi back in 2002 and since then it has raised over £250k for ActionAid's HIV community work out there. I'm going to head back out there in 2010 to visit more of the projects and 100% of all the funds I raise will go to Action Aid.
So what am I seeking? PERFORMANCE RELATED SPONSORSHIP!
This is how it works - you generously pledge an amount for every second I manage to beat my initial time by. This way I have the biggest incentive to train hard and row like a man possessed on the day!
My target is to achieve about 6.45 which would beat my initial time by 50 seconds so if you sponsored me 50p per second that would be £30.
