My Message

On Saturday 20th June I joined a group of 17 other people to walk from sun up to sun down (5am to 11pm!) in the beautiful but challenging terrain of Snowdonia and the Glyders.

Armed with a positive weather forecast promising sunshine we set off happily looking forward to a beautiful summer's stroll taking in stunning scenery of the breathtaking views en route.

Imagine our surprise therefore 18 hours later having trekked through clouds in 50mph winds, driving rain and a biting cold that meant we were all forced to invest in extra layers at the newly opened cafe atop Mount Snowdon! The views we were hoping for were hidden by a thick fog that stayed with us almost all day.

However the good news is that the blisters and sore legs mean I have earned every penny of sponsorship I'm raising for the overseas development charity ActionAid. Please give generously to make my experience worthwhile and support this invaluable cause helping fight poverty and the injustice that causes it.

thanks! Rob
