Adidas Women's 5k Challenge

Part of Adidas Women's Challenge 2008

Celebrations

A BIG THANK YOU to our 24 women who ran/walked for ActionAid in this popular event.

Despite an initial downpour in the early hours, the day was a great success with the rain holding off and a great atmoshpere as women of all ages and abilities geared up for the 5k.

19,000 women took part in London and we had 3 women take part in Liverpool and 1 in Birmingham.

Do check out photos from the day.

Thank you to family and friends who came along to cheer and thank you again to all who took part.

See you next year....

My Message

It's the first time I've ever done anything like this - a sponsored run for charity - and I'm really excited.

ActionAid is a global anti-poverty agency, working with and on behalf of  under-privileged people all over the world. They take a really strong position on trying to make life better for those who haven't had our fantastic advantages. Take a look at what they do here

Please do sponsor me for this run. If you could all could sponsor me for £10 each (but obviously more if you can afford it & less if you can't), just imagine what a difference all that money could make.

I'll let you know afterwards what the total raised is but if we can get to  £500 together, that would be absolutely  fanatastic.
