About me

On the 30th September 2007, I will be attempting to complete the 13. something miles of the Great North Run. For those of you who know me well, you will understand that this is not something I would undertake without good reason. The VERY VERY good reason is that I am running to raise money for 'Vickys Water Project', a charity set up by Adam Chataway in memory of his fiance Vicky Buchanan.

Vicky was my sister Sarah's best friend and bridesmaid, and became a good friend of mine. I remember Vicky as a girl who was full of life and always smiling.....more often than not at my expense!! Vicky had spent time working in Ethiopia with Action Aid, and its because of this that our aim is to raise £226,000 to bring clean running water to 20,000 people in Lera Town and surrounding villages in Ethiopia.
