About me

I'm an old friend of Adam Chataway. Adam, and his lovely fiancé Vicky, who tragically died in a road accident last year and whose smile and laughter I miss very much, are the reason I've set up this page.

I'm trying to raise £1,000 (and more if I'm lucky) by competing in the Great North Run this September to add to the more than £200,000 my team mates are aiming for. This money will go towards "Vicky's Water Project", set up by Adam in Vicky's memory, to provide clean drinking water to the remote Ethiopian town of Lera and its surrounding region. This is a subject that was very close to Vicky's heart, making life a little brighter for some 20,000 of Ethiopia's poorest people, just as Vicky made life brighter for everyone she met.
