About me

The purpose of this fundraising page is to gather funds to support Vicky's Water Project. I will be running / crawling the Great North Run.

Vicky was killed by a lorry whilst cycling to work on 17th Oct 2006. She is loved dearly by so many and her loss leaves a huge void. It was felt that some good should come from an event so tragic.

Vicky had studied Geography at Newcastle University and then a M Phil in Water Development. She spent many months in South Africa and Ethiopia.

We have a clearly defined practical project. While researching her dissertation Vicky worked with ActionAid on a water project providing clean running water to Dalocha in Ethiopia. We have indentified a similar project to support.

Although I will suffer a great deal of pain in training and the completion of the eventual run, my greatest achievement will be the contribution I make to this project. Please contact me if you require more information and any level of support would be wonderful!
